Boxer's Cafe
About This Spot
Stepping into Boxer’s Cafe in Huntingdon is like settling into a familiar nook where casual warmth and community quietly blend. Besides its unassuming exterior that hints at a classic neighborhood bar, inside the atmosphere unfolds as a cozy, welcoming refuge—a place where the hum of 90s tunes drifts softly in the background and the chatter feels easy and unhurried. It’s the kind of spot where time slows down just enough to savor both company and comfort.
This isn’t a sprawling or polished dining hall; the space is intimate, the kind that invites conversation over well-crafted meals that recall both tradition and simple indulgences. Whether you’re drawn by the comforting richness of a Reuben sandwich paired with hand-dipped onion rings or intrigued by healthier, thoughtfully prepared vegetarian choices, each plate tells a story of familiar flavors served with care. Alongside a tempting rotation of draft beers and a surprising variety of root beers, the food here complements that relaxed, local vibe—offering satisfaction without fuss.
Boxer’s has quietly secured a place in the hearts of locals who appreciate its blend of pub character and genuine hospitality. It’s the kind of venue where the staff’s warmth feels as genuine as a neighbor’s greeting, and where a casual meal easily becomes a favorite shared moment. While the space may feel cozy, particularly on lively weekend nights, the sense of belonging and the unpretentious, approachable menu keep the experience inviting for both longtime regulars and new visitors discovering Huntingdon’s quieter charms.

Cozy place with friendly service and tasty food. This was my second time here. I enjoyed the crab stuffed mushrooms and split pea soup.

Charming, cozy cafe. Loved the 90s music! I got the reuben, peasant soup (tomato, potato, dill) and fries. The fries are a must! Reuben is as good as any. I love them all. The soup was great. It's a bit cramped inside (I didn't mind but I know it's helpful info). Service was excellent.

It looks like a bar from the outside, but inside it's actually one of the better restaurants in town. They have a surprisingly wide selection of sandwiches and bar food that is all pretty good, and they're also definitely the best place in town for vegetarian options. It can get busy on weekend nights and the service gets pretty slow when it's busy, but it's always a good atmosphere inside.

Boxer’s Café is truly one of Huntingdon’s local gems — a cozy, affordable spot that’s perfect for lunch or dinner. My mom and I decided to stop in while getting ready for my move to college, and it ended up being one of the most enjoyable meals we’ve had in a while. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel welcome with friendly smiles and quick, attentive service that really stood out. The food was absolutely fantastic — we both ordered burgers that were juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. You can tell everything is made with care, and the quality definitely goes beyond what you’d expect for the price. The sides were fresh, and the portions were generous, making it a great value overall. What really added to the charm of the visit was the atmosphere. The café had the door open, letting in a gentle summer breeze that made the whole place feel light, relaxing, and full of small-town character. It was the kind of meal that leaves you feeling content and refreshed, with that comforting sense of community that small local restaurants are known for. Boxer’s Café is the kind of place that makes you want to come back again and again — whether it’s for a casual dinner with family, a friendly lunch, or just to enjoy great food in a warm and welcoming setting. Highly recommend it to anyone passing through Huntingdon or looking for a local favorite!

Service was outstanding, food was amazing, waitress recommended the Ruban for lunch, and it was amazing. I would love to go back, I loved the atmosphere. A great food find. Awesome place thank you for the good experience.

Boxer's has been open for 35 years; there's a good reason. It's a friendly place, welcoming to all. It's a comfortable, historic building, with a stone backbar and tile mosaic floor. They serve great draft beer, always have. Great sandwiches, with some very good vegetarian options. And there's fresh-baked pie, at a bar: how cool is that?

Had the chicken-zucchini cheese sandwich - delicious! Super cool vibe. Lots of different beers in the fridge and a good draft selection, too. Loved the local feel and decor!
